Coach Alexa Xenakis is currently the assistant girl’s basketball coach at Seton La Salle High School in Pittsburgh, PA after a stellar career at Point Park University (NAIA) where she received her degree in accounting in 2017.
Xenakis attended Keystone Oaks High School (Pittsburgh, PA) where she averaged 15.2 points per game as one of the top backcourt players in the WPIAL during her senior year. She is the second all-time leading scorer in Keystone Oaks High School history with more than 1,000 points for her career. During her senior season Xenakis led the Golden Eagles to a record of 20-8 overall and trips to the WPIAL Class AA semifinals and the PIAA Class AA second round. Xenakis capped off her high school career in the 2012 Roundball Classic and scored 17 points as one of only two double-digit scorers for the Class AA team vs. the Class A team.
Xenakis signed at Point Park University – a division 2 scholarship program in Pittsburgh, PA. During her time as a Pioneer Xenakis racked up 935 career points while shooting over 30 percent from 3 point range for her career as well as 41.4% from the field at the shooting guard position. During her 4 year career Xenakis enjoyed a 97-28 overall record and a 47-16 conference record. This included a trip to the NAIA National Tournament in 2014.
